R.D. Barr Co. was established in 1965. Founder, Ray Barr has been
in the Real Estate business since 1941, when he helped his mother operate a four unit boarding house near 27th and Dodge.
Ray began purchasing apartment buildings in 1962.
Between 1962 and 1978 Ray had a total of 36 units. In 1978 Ray’s
daughter-in-law Laura came to work with him. Ray received his Real Estate Broker’s License in 1979 and Laura received
hers in 2006. Ray’s son became involved with the Maintenance in 1996.
Today R.D. Barr Co. manages 14 Quality Communities throughout the
Omaha area with over 600 studio, one, two and three bedroom units. We have three full-time Office Personnel, eleven Resident
Managers and three full-time Maintenance Personnel.
